According to the State Statstcal Ofce data, the Retail Price Index in January 2012, in comparison with the previous month, was 101.6, while the Consumer Price Index was 101.2.
The increase in the Consumer Price Index by 1.2% is a result of the higher indices of vegetables by 10.0%, dry fruit by 1.3%, processed vegetables by 0.7%, pasta products and confectonary products by 0.6%, meat and processed meat by 0.5%.
In January, there was also an increase of the indices of central heatng by 10.3%, electricity by 7.8%, oil derivatves by 2.1%, recreatonal items by 1.5%, solid fuels by 1.3%, liquid fuels and gas and motor cars by 0.7%, cosmetc products by 0.5%, medicines and means of educaton by 0.4%, clothing by 0.3% and personal care artcles by 0.2%.
A decrease in the Consumer Price Index in January 2012, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in fruit by 3.1%, fats by 1.4%, fsh by 0.6%, eggs by 0.4% and alcoholic beverages by 0.2%.
In January, there was also a decrease of the indices of household utensils by 0.8%, footwear by 0.6% and furniture by 0.3%.
The Retail Price Index and Consumer Price Index in January 2012, compared with January 2011, registered an increase by 3.4%.
