According to the final data of the State Statistical Office, the Skopje Region had the biggest share (43.4%) in the gross domestic product of the Republic of North Macedonia in 2019, while the Northeast Region had the smallest share (4.8%).
A higher gross domestic product per capita compared to the average of the Republic of North Macedonia was recorded in the Skopje Region, with an index of 142.5, Southeast Region with an index of 110.5, Vardar Region with an index of 108.4 and Pelagonia Region with an index of 102.6. All other regions had gross domestic product per capita below the average of the Republic of North Macedonia.
