According to the data of the State Statistical Office, gross value added in agriculture for 2016 was 51 524 million denars and in comparison with 2015 it nominally decreased by 0.6%.
Crop production, having a 68.0% share in the total production, decreased by 2.0% compared with 2015. Livestock production, accounting for 22.5% of the total production, increased by 4.4% compared with 2015.
Intermediate consumption recorded a 1.1% increase in 2016 compared with 2015.
In 2016, nominal income in agriculture from production factors per labour unit registered an increase of 0.6% while real income in
agriculture from production factors registered a decrease of 1.6%.
