According to the State Statistical Office data, the index of the number of employees in industry in March 2020, in comparison with March 2019, was 95.5.
The number of employees in industry in the section Mining and quarrying in March 2020, in comparison with March 2019, decreased by 1.6%, in the section Manufacturing it decreased by 4.8%, and in the section Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply it decreased by 0.5%.
The number of employees in industry by Main Industrial Groupings in March 2020, in comparison with March 2019, was lower in Energy by 0.9%, Intermediate goods, except energy by 6.3%, Durable consumer goods by 9.0% and Non-durable consumer goods by 5.8%, but higher in Capital goods by 0.3%.
The index of the number of employees in industry in the period January - March 2020, in comparison with January - March 2019, was 96.4.
