Decrease of industrial production in April 2010, in comparison with the same month of the previous year, by 9.6%

According to the State Statistical Office data, the industrial production index in the Republic of Macedonia in April 2010, in comparison with April 2009, was 90.4.

The industrial production in the section Mining and quarrying in April 2010, in comparison with April 2009, decreased by 14.2%, in the section Manufacturing industry it decreased by 14.1% and in the section Electricity, gas and water supply it increased by 29.5%.

The industrial production by Main Industrial Groups in April 2010, in comparison with April 2009, was lower in: Intermediate goods industries, except energy by 6.7%, Capital goods industries by 35.6% and Non-Durable consumer goods industries by 14.3%.

The industrial production index in the Republic of Macedonia in the period January - April 2010, in comparison with January - April 2009, was 90.6.
