According to the State Statistical Office data, the industrial production volume index in February 2020, in comparison with February 2019, was 103.5.
The industrial production in the section Mining and quarrying in February 2020, in comparison with February 2019, increased by 7.7%, in the section Manufacturing it increased by 6.6%, while in the section Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply it decreased by 13.3%.
The increase in the section Manufacturing is mostly due to increased production in the divisions Manufacture of beverages, Manufacture of tobacco products, Manufacture of textiles, Manufacture of wearing apparel, Manufacture of chemicals and chemical products, Manufacture of basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations, Manufacture of rubber and plastic products, Manufacture of basic metals, Manufacture of fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment, Manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers and Manufacture of furniture.
The industrial production by Main Industrial Groupings in February 2020, in comparison with February 2019, was higher in Intermediate goods, except energy by 1.1%, Capital goods by 10.4%, Durable consumer goods by 6.4% and Non-durable consumer goods by 7.0%, but lower in Energy by 7.8%.
The industrial production index in the period January - February 2020, in comparison with January - February 2019, was 101.9.
