Decrease of industrial production in March 2010, in comparison with the same month of the previous year, by 11.2%

According to the State Statistical Office data, the industrial production index in the Republic of Macedonia in March 2010, in comparison with February 2009, was 88.8.

The industrial production in the section Mining and quarrying in March 2010, in comparison with March 2009, decreased by 23.2%, in the section Manufacturing industry it decreased by 13.9% and in the section Electricity, gas and water supply it increased by 10.6%.

The industrial production by Main Industrial Groups in March 2010, in comparison with March 2009, was lower in: Energy by 21.1%, Intermediate goods industries, except energy by 6.4%, Capital goods industries by 30.3%, Durable consumer goods industries by 12.6% and Non-Durable consumer goods industries by 6.2%.

The industrial production index in the Republic of Macedonia in the period January - March 2010, in comparison with January - March 2009, was 90.6.
