Decrease of industrial production in January 2010, in comparison with the same month of the previous year, by 2.9%

According to the State Statistical Office data, the industrial production index in the Republic of Macedonia in January 2010, in comparison with January 2009, was 97.1.

The industrial production in the section Mining and quarrying in January 2010, in comparison with January 2009, increased by 11.4%, in the section Manufacturing industry it decreased by 8.2% and in the section Electricity, gas and water supply it increased by 16.7%.

The industrial production by Main Industrial Groups in January 2010, in comparison with January 2009, was bigger in Energy by 5.6% and Intermediate goods industries, except energy by 0.8%, but lower in: Capital good industries by 40.0%, Durable consumer goods industries by 9.7% and Non-Durable consumer goods industries by 5.3%.
