According to the State Statistical Office data, the industrial production volume index in February 2017, in comparison with
February 2016, was 98.7.
The industrial production in the section Mining and quarrying in February 2017, in comparison with February 2016, decreased
by 4.9%, in the section Manufacturing it decreased by 4.4%, while in the section Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning
supply it increased by 31.9%.
The decrease in the section Manufacturing is mostly due to decreased production in the divisions Manufacture of food
products, Manufacture of beverages, Manufacture of tobacco products, Manufacture of textiles, Manufacture of wearing
apparel, Manufacture of fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment, Manufacture of electrical equipment and
Manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers.
The industrial production by Main Industrial Groupings in February 2017, in comparison with February 2016, was higher in
Energy by 17.5%, Intermediate goods, except energy by 1.2% and Capital goods by 0.1%, but lower in Durable consumer goods
by 7.0% and Non-durable consumer goods by 10.3%.
The industrial production index in the period January - February 2017, in comparison with January - February 2016, was 98.1.
