Industrial production volume index, April 2016

According to the State Statistical Office data, the industrial production volume index in April 2016, in comparison with April 2015,
was 103.6.
The industrial production in the section Mining and quarrying in April 2016, in comparison with April 2015, decreased by 10.2%,
in the section Manufacturing it increased by 9.4%, while in the section Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply it
decreased by 29.5%.
The increase in the section Manufacturing is mostly due to increased production in the divisions Manufacture of food products,
Manufacture of beverages, Manufacture of wearing apparel, Manufacture of other non-metallic mineral products, Manufacture
of machinery and equipment n.e.c., Manufacture of electrical equipment and Manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semitrailers.
The industrial production by Main Industrial Groupings in April 2016, in comparison with April 2015, was higher in Intermediate
goods, except energy by 0.1%, Capital goods by 36.5% and Non-durable consumer goods by 6.1%, but lower in Energy by 28.1%
and Durable consumer goods by 3.8%.
The industrial production index in the period January-April 2016, in comparison with January-April 2015, was 108.7.
