According to the State Statistical Office data, the industrial production volume index in October 2023, in comparison with October 2022, was 109.9.
The industrial production in the section Mining and quarrying in October 2023, in comparison with October 2022, increased by 15.9%, in the section Manufacturing it increased by 8.2%, while in the section Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply it increased by 19.0%.
The increase in the section Manufacturing is mostly due to increased production in the divisions, Manufacture of food products, Manufacture of beverages, Manufacture of textiles, Manufacture of chemicals and chemical products, Manufacture of basic pharmaceutical product and pharmaceutical preparations, Manufacture of other non-metallic mineral products, Manufacture of machinery and equipment n.e.c. and Manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers.
The industrial production by Main Industrial Groupings in October 2023, in comparison with October 2022, was higher in Energy by 11.5%, Intermediate goods, except energy by 2.9%, Capital goods by 27.5% and Non-durable consumer goods by 11.4%, but lower in Durable consumer goods by 28.0%.
The industrial production index in the period January - October 2023, in comparison with January - October 2022, was 101.7.
