According to the State Statistical Office data, the industrial production volume index in June 2023, in comparison with June 2022, was 103.7.
The industrial production in the section Mining and quarrying in June 2023, in comparison with June 2022, decreased by 1.6%, in the section Manufacturing it increased by 1.4%, while in the section Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply it increased by 39.9%.
The increase in the section Manufacturing is mostly due to increased production in the divisions, Manufacture of beverages, Manufacture of tobacco products, Manufacture of textiles, Manufacture of basic pharmaceutical product and pharmaceutical preparations, Manufacture of other non-metallic mineral products, Manufacture of basic metals, Manufacture of fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment, Manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers and Manufacture of furniture.
The industrial production by Main Industrial Groupings in June 2023, in comparison with June 2022, was higher in Energy by 17.7% and Capital goods by 15.6%, but lower in Intermediate goods, except energy by 1.4%, Durable consumer goods by 7.2% and Non-durable consumer goods by 1.0%.
The industrial production index in the period January - June 2023, in comparison with January - June 2022, was 101.5.
