According to the State Statistical Office data, the industrial production volume index in August 2022, in comparison with August 2021, was 100.2.
The industrial production in the section Mining and quarrying in August 2022, in comparison with August 2021, increased by 2.4%, in the section Manufacturing it increased by 2.5%, while in the section Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply it decreased by 11.5%.
The increase in the section Manufacturing is mostly due to increased production in the divisions, Manufacture of beverages, Manufacture of textiles, Manufacture of wearing apparel, Manufacture of chemicals and chemical products, Manufacture of basic pharmaceutical product and pharmaceutical preparations, Manufacture of electrical equipment, Manufacture of machinery and equipment n.e.c. and Manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers.
The industrial production by Main Industrial Groupings in August 2022, in comparison with August 2021, was higher in Capital goods by 13.1%, Durable consumer goods by 12.8% and in Non-durable consumer goods by 3.6%, but lower in Energy by 9.4% and Intermediate goods, except energy by 4.8%.
The industrial production index in the period January - August 2022, in comparison with January - August 2021, was 101.1.
