According to the State Statistical Office data, the industrial production volume index in March 2021, in comparison with March 2020, was 107.6.
The industrial production in the section Mining and quarrying in March 2021, in comparison with March 2020, decreased by 2.3%, in the section Manufacturing it increased by 6.2%, while in the section Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply it increased by 31.0%.
The increase in the section Manufacturing is mostly due to increased production in the divisions, Manufacture of food products, Manufacture of textiles, Manufacture of chemicals and chemical products, Manufacture of other non-metallic mineral products, Manufacture of basic metals, Manufacture of electrical equipment, Manufacture of machinery and equipment n.e.c. and Manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers.
The industrial production by Main Industrial Groupings in March 2021, in comparison with March 2020, was higher in Intermediate goods, except energy by 20.3% and Non-durable consumer goods by 7.6%, but lower in Energy by 1.9%, Capital goods by 0.5% and Durable consumer goods by 2.8%.
The industrial production index in the period January - March 2021, in comparison with January - March 2020, was 93.9.
