According to the State Statistical Office data, the industrial production volume index in May 2013, in comparison with
May 2012, was 97.2.
The industrial production in the section Mining and quarrying in May 2013, in comparison with May 2012, increased
by 9.1%, in the section Manufacturing industry it decreased by 9.3%, while in the section Electricity, gas, steam and
air conditioning supply it increased by 34.3%.
The industrial production by Main Industrial Groupings in May 2013, in comparison with May 2012, was higher in
Energy by 20.2% and Durable consumer goods industries by 13.4%, but lower in Intermediate goods industries,
except energy by 9.6%, Capital goods industries by 6.5%, and Non-durable consumer goods industries by 4.7%.
The industrial production index in the period January - May 2013, in comparison with January - May 2012, was
101.7.
