1 June – Macedonian Statistics Day
Today we celebrate 1 June – Macedonian Statistics Day and the 78th anniversary of the State Statistical Office.
This is a number worthy of respect, considering the humble beginnings and the commitment, enthusiasm and dedication of generations of statisticians who are responsible for what the State Statistical Office is today – a renowned professional institution that provides users with data for policy making and evidence-based decision making.
Every year presents new challenges for everyone, including the Office, and the ability to adapt and master the novelties that the new era brings drives us even more to continue growing and improving. We owe that to all the previous generations of statisticians who built this system, and we have an obligation to improve it and pass it on to future generations!
