Balance of Electrical energy  30.04.2010Balance of electrical energy by months, 2008 According to the data of the State Statistical Office, in 2008, in the Republic od Macedonia, in the gross national electricity consumption, which was 9 043 832 MWh, the domestic production share was 69.8% and the import share was 30.2%. The biggest consumers of electricity in 2008 were the households with a share of 34.7%, the industrial sections (energy section plus industry) with 28.8%, and other sections with 14.9% of the gross national electricity consumption. Own consumption (in production, transmission and distribution) of electricity in 2008 was 5.6%, while distribution losses were 16% of the gross national electricity consumption.
