    Gross domestic product of Republic of Macedonia in 2008

- preliminary data –

According to the data of the State Statistical Office the gross domestic product (GDP) in 2008 is 398 491 million denars and in relation with 2007 there is a growth by 12.5%. The real GDP growth rate in relation with 2007 is 4.8%.

In the structure of the GDP in 2008, the biggest share of the value added have the following sectors:D-Manufacturing industry (17.8%), G-Wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles, motorcyclesand personal and household goods (12.7%) and A-Agriculture, hunting and forestry (10.4%).

The Final consumption in 2008 in relation with 2007 nominally is up by 18.0%, as a result of increasing of the Household final consumption including NPISHs (17.5%) and of the Final government consumption (20.2%).

In 2008 the share of the Gross capital formation in GDP is 26.6%, while the nominal increase of the Gross fixed capital formation is 20.7% in comparison with 2007.

Export of goods and services in 2008 is higher in relation with 2007 for 11.0% and Import of goods and services for 22.3%.
