From it, 642 541 person or 68.3% are employed persons and 298120 persons or 31.7% are unemployed. The number of employed persons in the III quarter of 2009, compared to the same period of the last year, increased by 3.7%. In relation to the same period of 2008, the number of unemployed persons decreased by 2.3 %. The activity rate in this period is 57.3, the employment rate is 39.2, whereas the unemployment rate is 31.7.
