Teachers and supporting staff in tertiary educational institutions

In the academic year 2009/2010 the number of teachers and supporting staff in the tertiary education institutions was 3464

According to the data of the State Statistical Office the number of teachers and supporting staff in the tertiary education institutions in the academic year 2009/2010 was 3464.

Of the total number of teaching personnel and supporting staff, 2057 persons or 59.4% are teachers, while 1407 persons or 40.6% are supporting staff.

At the faculties, teaching was performed by 3345 persons, which is 96.6% of the total number of teachers and supporting staff, while at higher schools teaching was performed by 119 persons or 3.4%.

The number of female teachers and supporting staff in the academic year 2009/2010 was 1660 persons or 47.9%.
