Primary, lower secondary and upper secondary schools in the Republic of Macedonia at the end of the school year

    At the end of the school year 2008/2009 there was a decrease in the number of students in the regular primary and lower secondary education, while in the regular upper secondary education there was a slight increase
(preliminary data)

According to the preliminary data of the State Statistical Office, the number of students in the regular primary and lower secondary schools at the end of the school 2008/2009 year was 215 078, which is a decrease of 2.6% compared to the previous school year.

The number of students in the regular upper secondary schools at the end of the school 2008/2009 year was 93 164, which is a minimal increase of 0.4% compared to the previous school year.
