Broadcasting-Public broadcasting enterprises and trade broadcasting companies in the Republic of Macedonia  11.06.2009In 2008, 116 business subjects performed broadcasting activities in the Republic of Macedonia According to the State Statistical Office, from the gathered reporting units, in 2008, 116 business subjects performed broadcasting activities in the Republic of Macedonia, of which 62 transmitted radio programme and 54 transmitted television programme. From the total number of business subjects that transmitted radio programme, 4 are public broadcasting enterprises, and 58 are trade broadcasting companies. According to data, the public broadcasting enterprises that transmitted radio programme, had emission of total 63663 hours of radio programme, from which the highest percent or 58.3% was music programme. The trade broadcasting companies that transmitted radio programme, had emission of total 436961 hours of radio programme, from which the highest percent or 57.5% was music programme, too. From the total number of business subjects that transmitted television programme, 2 are public broadcasting enterprises, and 52 are trade broadcasting companies. The public broadcasting enterprises that transmitted television programme, had emission of total 29337 hours of television programme, from which the highest percent or 23% was fixture programme. The trade broadcasting companies that transmitted television programme, had emission of total 325320 hours of television programme, from which the highest percent or 28.3% was fixture programme, too.
