Homes and boarding schools for pupils and students

According to the data of the State Statistical Office, in 2011/2012, the total number of pupils - students accommodated in homes
for pupils in elementary and secondary school and student dormitories was 7 972, which represents an increase of 3.1% compared
to 2010/2011.
The annual reports cover 39 homes: homes for pupils in elementary school, homes for pupils in secondary school, homes for
secondary religious school students and student dormitories.
Pupil and student homes and student dormitories provide lodging, food and education for pupils and students in the course of
schooling outside their parents’ - supporters’ place of residence.
