From 20 to 22 February 2012, a three-day “Seminar on the new European and international standards for national accounts – ESA 2010 and SNA 2008” will take place in Hotel Continental. The lecturer is Mr. Robin Lynch from the United Kingdom.

The seminar is organised as part of the project “Technical assistance to the State Statistical Office”, which is financed by the European Union.

 

The changes in the existing SNA 1993 and ESA 1995, the new definitions and methods in SNA 2008 and ESA 2005, as well as their influence on macroeconomic statistics, business and social statistics, and balance of payment statistics, will be presented at the Seminar in order for the participants to get acquainted with the scope and the need of harmonisation of statistical surveys in the country, and for the expert community to obtain information about the expected changes in the data system. These changes will have a particular effect on the future harmonisation of the System of National Accounts during the implementation of SNA 2008 and ESA 2010.
