Pursuant to the provisions of the Law Amending the Law on Census of Population, Households and Dwellings in the Republic of Macedonia 2011, the pre-enumeration of the persons who are held in custody or are serving a sentence in a correctional facility or a reformatory will be conducted in the period from 1 to 15 September.
For that purpose, on 25. 08. 2011, the State Statistical Office organised, again, a training in conducting pre-enumeration that will be realised in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice.
The training objectives were presented, the significance, the legal bases, the basic principles and characteristics of the Census, as well as the manner of completing the Form P-1 (enumeration form).
Violeta Krsteva, Head of the Social Statistics Sector, in the introduction addressed the significance of the forthcoming Census and its methodological bases. The questions related to the units (persons) that will be covered by the pre-enumeration were specially presented, and they relate to the persons who during the Census are held in custody or are serving a sentence in a correctional facility or a reformatory.
The manner of completing the Form P-1 (Enumeration form) was presented by Jane Krstevski, Adviser in the Department for Demography and Statistical Register of Population and Violeta Deleva, Junior Associate in the Department for Demography and Statistical Register of Population.
The training was attended by 10 representatives of the Ministry of Justice, the correctional facilities and the reformatories. The participants followed the training actively and practical questions were also discussed.
